The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), California Tobacco Prevention Program(CTPP), intends to award eight (8) grants to the following agencies in response to Request for Application(RFA), Competitive Grant (CG) 25-10404, 211 Call Center Tobacco Cessation Referral Projects:

  2. INFO LINE of San Diego County dba 211 San Diego
  3. Community Action Partnership of Kern
  4. Community Link Capital Region
  5. Eden I & R, Inc.
  6. Family Resource and Referral Center dba Family Resource Center
  7. Inland Southern 211+
  8. Orange County United Way

The purpose of this Request for Application (RFA) is to fund 2-1-1 Community Information and Referral Services (211 Call Centers) to proactively identify and refer eligible callers to Kick It California (KIC), California’s statewide tobacco cessation service. This project is designed to increase awareness and use of existing free tobacco cessation services among low-income individuals, who disproportionately experience high rates of tobacco use. The long-term goals of this RFA are to accelerate quitting behaviors and significantly reduce tobacco use among populations served by 211 Call Centers.
