TCFOR Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Our policy is to collect no personal information about you when visiting the CDPH Tobacco Control Funding Opportunities and Resources (TCFOR) website unless you affirmatively choose to make such information available to us.

When you visit TCFOR, our web server automatically recognizes only the Internet domain and IP address from which you accessed our website. This information does not result in the identification of your personal e-mail address or other personal information.

Additionaly, we do gather information regarding the volume and timing of access to our website by collecting information on the date, time and website pages accessed by visitors to the website. We do this to help improve the the content and performance of the website and this information is not shared with other organizations. Again, only aggregate information is collected and individual visitors' personal information is not identified.

If you choose to share personal information with us — by sending us a message, or filling out an electronic form with personal information — we will use the information only for the purposes you authorized or in support of CDPH/CTCP sponsored programs. Some of the information may be saved for a designated period of time to comply with data archiving policies, but we will not disclose the information to other third parties or government agencies, unless required to do so by state or federal law or in support of CDPH/CTCP sponsored programs.

If we are required to disclose information about you by law, we will make every effort to notify you of the disclosure in advance.

The information collected in this manner is not subject to requests made pursuant to the Public Records Act, and site visitors may request to have their information discarded without reuse or distribution.

CDPH will only collect personal information relevant to specific purposes through lawful means, which will be enumerated in the privacy policy or a privacy notice provided at or prior to collection. Your personal information collected by CDPH will not be disclosed, made available, or otherwise used for purposes other than those specified in the privacy notice, except with your consent, or as authorized by law or regulation. Further, information collected will only be that which is relevant to the purpose for which it is collected. CDPH works to safeguard any personal information collected and investigates privacy breaches and complaints involving unauthorized access or disclosure.

You have the right to access your personal information that is maintained by CDPH and may request correction of any inaccuracies in your records.
